Want to be a rehabber?
- Pass FTCC Wildlife course
- Complete and submit WRI membership application
- Apply for (and receive) state rehabber license
- Decide what species you want to rehab
- Request and connect with a mentor
- Acquire the necessary equipment and supplies
- Notify VP of Rehab that you’re ready to receive animals
- Want to qualify for free supplies from WRI? Then follow on-call process too.
Want to handle HelpLine?
- Pass FTCC Wildlife course
- Complete and submit WRI membership application
- Get on-call detail training by VP of Rehab (either one-on-one or in additional group setting)
- Receive your on-call resource materials
- Get member password for website from Jean Chamberlain
- Get added to HelpLine calendar distribution list (call/text Nancy Porter)
Want to transport?
- Complete and submit WRI membership application
- Notify VP of Rehab (need your address, county, phone #, email, & when you are available)
- Acquire a Transporter Kit (call/email Nancy Porter)
- If you want to do a ride-along or two before you go solo, tell VP of Rehab when you’re ready
Want to help with education programs/feedings?
- Complete and submit WRI membership application
Want to join WRI?
- Go to our website (www.wildliferehabinc.org), complete membership form, and submit with payment
- Or mail completed membership form with check to POB 24552, Winston Salem, NC 27114
